Dad's visit to Georgia

So after this weekend I realized something.  I have like barely any pictures of my dad and I together.  I mean I take a lot of pictures and he just spent the whole weekend here and I only got one!! I don't know what it is, I just forget about taking pictures for some reason.  Anyway, I thought this was a really cute one so I did some editing on photo shop:)  It is of us at Jeff's football game.  ECCHS actually lost, but they played a REALLY good team and they actually went ahead with 22-21 with 7 minutes to go in the fourth quarter.  There were lots of exciting plays and it was a really fun game to watch.  We had a great time with Dad visiting.  He got to go to school with Jeff for a while and see the school and meet a lot of the teachers.  Then Saturday he and I went to look at some houses for sale here and stopped at a bunch of garage sales (my dad's favorite pastime) along the way.  Then we went to the "Bowman Fall Festival." There was a band playing and lots of little booths set up.  Saturday, Dad treated us to Papa's Pizza Buffet, then we came home and put together the crib.  Sunday he went to church with us and had family night with us and the missionaries.  Then Monday, he took me to work and he folded our laundry, fixed our vacuum, vacuumed the house, replaced all the light bulbs, made us dinner and did our dishes.  Jeff tried to convince him he should move in and be our nanny!! haha.  Tuesday morning, Jeff took the day off school and I went to work late and we drove Dad back to the Atlanta airport, we were sad to see him go, but he will be back with Karen and Grandma in just a couple months for Christmas.  It was such a fun weekend and we can't wait to see you again- love you Dad!!

Nursery almost finished:)

I just wanted to post these pictures of the nursery, because I have had so much fun decorating it.  We ordered the crib online and Jeff and my dad and I all put it together on Saturday in between football games.  I painted the name sign, all the frames, the little chair, the light switch covers and the lady bug canvases.  I bought the lady bug blanket online and it inspired me to paint the lady bugs on the canvases.  I don't know if I will add anything else, but here is what I have so far:)

GOOOOOO Blue Devils!!!

The last few weeks have been excellent here in Elberton, GA.  Jeff's football team has won their games for two weeks in a row.  Last year their team only won one game the whole season, so everyone is super excited about their improvement.  Last week, they played a team called Social Circle.  No, it wasn't a girls team, although I think the name sounds like it, haha.  Social Circle is either the name of their city or their county, I can't remember which.  The score of that game was  24-9.  Then this week, they played a 4A school (ECCHS is 3A).  They blew them out 42-7.  This game was awesome because everyone got to play and it was so cute to see some of the freshmen literally jumping up and down when they found out they were going to get to go in.  Jeff is really doing a great job coaching the quarterbacks and defensive backs, he really relates well to the players.  We have the quarterbacks over to our house for dinner every Thursday night and they eat and play college football on xbox.  I have been bringing the camera to every game and I am trying to get a good picture, but we have kind of a cheap camera and it doesn't do well taking pictures at night.  They are either so dark you can't see them, or really blurry.  I am going to keep trying though and hopefully I will be able to post some better ones of Jeff in action! Go Blue Devils!!

28 weeks Pregnant

Okay so I am positive that everyone jinxed me!!! Everyone said I was so little and tiny, well no more!! Last month I gained 8 pounds- in one month!!!! I thought okay it was just a fluke... nope the record continues.  I just got back from the Doctor and once again I packed on another 8 pounds in just 4 weeks.  Now I weigh 165.  165 lbs!! That sort of made me sick to see that on the scale!  So I have gained approximately 20 to 25 lbs already.  I don't really care though, it just gives me more motivation to do my goal, which is to run a marathon or half marathon between every child I have.  I am shopping for a jogging stroller right now so I can get started asap.  Anyway, so here are my fat pictures... hope you all enjoy and I hope they make you feel good about your skinny little selves!!!  Hahaha, I am really joking though, I don't really care how big I get just as long as my baby is healthy:)  I am also excited because my brother Jared and his wife Rachel are having a baby any day now, my baby will be born in November, my step-sister, Lynsey, is due in December, My brother Brian and his wife Dana are due in January, and my sister Heather,  just found out she will be having a baby in May!! So our baby will have lots of cousins her age to play with.
