Garage Sale Finds #4

Total $25.10 for all this junk... I mean... awesome stuff!

Christmas Jammies, 75 cents total and that blue long sleeved shirt in the corner was another 25 cents:
This is kind of funny because I was having buyer's remorse over these things. I spent $1 on each thing for a total of $5. I knew I probably could have got similar things for 25 cents elsewhere, so I was mad at myself. The Dora sweatsuit was a cool thing since Cheyenne loves Dora. We have a Hello Kitty bathroom, so I am a sucker for HK stuff. And the two pairs of shorts will be great for summer:
Size 5 shoes: $1
Elmo towell $1:

The giant dice from the following game:
A Roll and Play game. You roll the giant dice and then draw that color and do whatever the card says. I could also use this when I get older to teach things, or do chores, I could just change the cards. My sister-in-law and brother have this game at their house and I had wanted to get it anyway. I was planning on making one, but obviously never got around to it, so this was a great find! $1:
Little kids scissors with rounded tips, 25 cents each:
Cotton balls: 10 cents
CD/DVD sleeves, box of 100, $1

A gigantic box of craft sticks, that look like popsicle sticks and big ones that look like tongue depressers. $2 total.
Toothpicks: 25 cents a jar, 75 cents total... You can always find a use for these, even crafting if I wanted:)
Any time I can find paper products at a g-sale, that is my favorite! Things that I would normally buy, but basically for free. All of these were $1 total! A church had gone out of business, so they were selling all of their everything. It was actually kind of sad.
These barbies were $1 each. The lady had about 20 of them. We already have 4 or so, so I decided these would be plenty. Cheyenne is not totally in to Barbies yet, but after I bought these she totally was playing with them and having pretend conversations and everything. She even made me go get them from the trunk after the football game so she could sleep with them. So Barbie phase is not too far away, I am sure.
I had gotten a boogie board previously at a garage sale for $1. We have gone to the beach 3 or so times since then and have loved it every time, and every time, we wish we had another one so two people could go together! We just keep them in our garage and they don't take up too much space, so I decided to get them. I'll be ready for the next girls trip to Myrtle Beach:) Boogie Boards and skim board ($5 total):
Oh and I forgot to add a picture, but I also got a marshmallow gun for 50 cents. Berkeley looks at me like I am crazy and I think she is a little scared when I shoot her with them, but she likes to eat the marshmallows. Cheyenne loves it and always wants me to do it again.

2nd Round of State

All the restaurants in town have Blue Devil memorabilia and support:)
This was at Bojangles
I put on Cheyenne's hat because it was so cold and she had a hood. Berkeley wouldn't leave her hat on, and she hated her big puffy coat, because she couldn't move her arms, and her hands didn't poke out, because her arms weren't long enough.

As I mentioned before, we got to play in the Granite Bowl! The girls and I left early and went to eat at Wendy's... bleh! It was not very clean, but the food was okay. We parked at the bank and stopped at Walgreens to get some treats. It was another freezing cold night, but so fun. This team was a decent team as well, but we took an early 14-0 lead and controlled the whole game. We ended up winning about 28-7.

UGA vs Auburn

Jeff and Frank hit up the UGA/Auburn game while Frank was here. Jeff was unsure if he could get tickets since the game was sold out and tickets were going for hundreds via scalpers on site. I dropped them off and planned to come back and get them in a few minutes if they couldn't get in. Jeff called me and told me they got in. It turns out they got awesome seats and had a great time... AND UGA won, and they are now SEC East Champions. Jeff is trying to be a Georgia fan now that he gets free seats!

First Round of State

Isn't she so cute and snuggly??
my little green-eyed twinner!
Cheyenne and Grandpa Frank. Oh and see that red, lit up dragon? Every time they scored a touchdown, a big burst of fire would come out of its mouth. It was AWESOME!! They were the Pepperell Dragons.
Jeff's #1 fan club!

We went into the first round of state as the #3 seed from our region. We were actually the #2 seed, but that is a long story. We had to play the #2 seed from another region. Frank, the girls and I drove all the way to Rome. Frank was so sweet to watch the girls for me so I could get my hair highlighted in the morning and then we ate lunch and headed on the 3 hour drive to Rome. We got there and planned to eat at Chili's, but we hit a little traffic on the way and the wait there was like half an hour. Then we saw Outback and Frank was sold! I didn't mind much either:) We had delicious dinner and that bread was really hitting the spot! After dinner we headed to the stadium and got all of our warm clothes on. It was soooo cold!!! The game started out horribly and I thought we were in for a long night as Pepperell quickly went up 14-0. There were a few change of events and we went in at half time tied 14-14. We tried hot chocolate to warm us up, but it didn't do much good, it was still so cold! We had a great second half and ended up winning, 33-21 or something like that. The best part was that in our bracket, the 4 seed upset the 1 seed so we were going to get to play in the Granite Bowl at home next week!! A great game, but I was so happy to get in the warm car and head home!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Frank!

I love this picture of Frank blowing out the candle, he looks really excited about his wish! Also notice Cheyenne's "ice cream cones." (the shapes with a piece of wooden fruit on it).

Grandpa Frank spent his 2nd birthday in a row celebrating at our house! Maybe it is the delicious ice cream cake he always gets:) He is 59! One more year til he is really over the hill! We hope we get to help him celebrate that one too:) He got here and said Berkeley would be walking by the time he left, and what do you know, she was!!! He also taught her to hold up her index finger when you ask, "how old are you?" His little trip went by fast! The girls and I went to get him from the airport and so he took us to Chic-Fil-A!! The girls loved that. What is even better is that we hit the one day of the month that they give you a yellow receipt and now we can go there anytime during the month of December and get everything on that yellow receipt again- FREE! After we ate, we got home and put the girls to bed, with more fun to report later!

Books

I color coded the books in the girls room. It was kind of fun and I love it. This lasted about a week. Most of the books are all over the floor again now. Now I will have to go through and organize them again. What? Something was clean and organized for like a day and is now all messed up again? Story of my life! I think it looks pretty cool though.

Random

Cheyenne and Berkeley are best of friends... and they already have the sibling rivalry thing going. They both pick on each other to make each other cry, but they love to play and laugh together too. Tonight, Jeff asked Cheyenne if she wanted to come with him to the grocery store and Cheyenne said, "Berkeley can come too, Berkeley wants to come!" I thought it was so sweet, because I was expecting her to feel special that only she got to go, but instead she wanted her sister to be with her. Also, I got a marshmallow shooting gun at a garage sale today and we were shooting them in the house and the girls were going around eating them. It was the last one and Berkeley was slowly going to get it. Cheyenne ran over to the marshmallow to get it. I laughed and said, "oh poor Berkeley, she is too slow." Then, Cheyenne gave the marshmallow to Berkeley, it was so sweet:) I just love these two girls!
snuggle bugs watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (a new favorite around here).
Finger painting. Berkeley kept eating it. Cheyenne made Caterpillars from egg cartons.
Twinners. Cheyenne's hair reminds me of the mean girl from the show Make it or Break it.
Cheyenne said she was not a witch, she was a King. And those are not shape blocks in her bag, they are crystals...
Watching tv together... we may or may not do that a little too much here.... yikes!
Cheyenne playing Dora Chutes and Ladders and Berkeley coloring with crayons.
In other news, Berkeley has started WALKING!! Crawling is still her preferred method of transportation, but she loves to practice walking too. She can take about 10 steps at a time before she goes to crawl. She always claps after she walks too. And she will hold up her index finger when you ask how old she is. Thanks to Grandpa Frank! More on that later:)

Teeny Tiny Hamburgers for dessert

I made these for a woman in our ward's wedding. I didn't actually go to the wedding, but the YW helped her to make the treats, and since I have volleyball on Tuesday nights now, I can't go to mutual for 6 months. I just made these by myself at our house and they were so easy and so so cute!! I LOVE them! I am totally going to make them for 4th of July or something... I didn't actually try one, and I don't know that they would taste awesome, but aren't they the cutest things ever. It is just vanilla wafers, york peppermint patties, dyed coconut and dyed frosting. So easy!

Bama/LSU

Jeff has a junior running back on his team who is awesome and is being recruited by pretty much every single school. A few weeks before, Jeff took him to the Clemson game and then Jeff took him to the Alabama/LSU game. They had so much fun and got the star treatment and got to see lots of famous people and had great seats for a great game. There were about 1000 pictures on our computer for this game, so I picked which ones I thought were the best, but Jeff may come back and add some too. I may need to get more of his commentary as well, because I am not sure I know who all these famous people are.

This was my favorite because that is Erin Andrews and I think she is awesome:

I think this is Desmond Howard?

Tyshon likes Alabama the best right now. He is one of the top running backs in the nation, according to a coach at Clemson.
