Babysitting

A few friends needed me to watch their kids lately. I got some great pictures of some of the kids playing together. As long as Cheyenne is happy and in a good mood, it is great watching other kids around her age because they entertain each other... it just gets hard when she gets tired and cranky and then she is always crying about something or other, she is a little sensitive sometimes:) Usually before nap is great and during/after is harder. Cheyenne loves to have friends over to play though. She is really a sweet girl and gets along well with almost any kid (when she is fed and well rested).

This picture was taken through our window, the weather has been beautiful here lately (besides the last few days which have been rainy). I open all the windows and leave the doors open and Cheyenne loves to play on the rocking chairs on the porch, which is great, because I can clean the kitchen and since the windows are open I can see her perfectly.
Wesley was great for Cheyenne, he introduced her to playing in the mud/dirt/woods.

Playing in the woods

Berkeley and I sitting outside watching Cheyenne and Wesley play in the dirt.

Here they are watching wonder pets or something like that.

We went for a walk around the neighborhood in the wagon. It took forever, because they had to get out and in and out and in... they also had to explore the woods on the walk and collect rocks, sticks, flowers, etc.
are they not the cutest things ever?

Wesley and Cheyenne having a picnic on the front porch.
Cheyenne took Annaliese outside to teach her how to make "mud soup" like her and Wesley did. Needless to say, they got soaked and were covered in mud, so they took a little bath together. They were so cute.

New baby and gymnastics meet

I keep forgetting to put these pictures in the right order, so they are backwards. Last week, my friend Wendi called me and asked me to come get her kids, because they had found a birth mother who wanted to place her baby, and she was about to deliver! I quickly went to their house to pick up her kids Maddie and Wesley. We had a great time playing and they were so excited when their mom called to say it was true that they were really going to be adopting a little boy. We took the kids to Stevi-B's and then headed to the hospital to meet the little guy. Maddie was so excited to go and see the baby and Jeff was driving her crazy because he ate 21 pieces of pizza and she just wanted to leave to go to the hospital! We got there and it was such an amazing experience for me. It was so amazing to see this family that we care so much about see their little boy for the first time. It was so cool to think about how little spirits come to this earth and how each child takes different paths to get to the family they belong to. He was the cutest little baby and Jeff kept saying, "Stacey we should get one too." Haha... they made it seem so easy! We are so happy and excited for the Clantons and their new little addition.

After we saw the baby we headed over to the Georgia Gymdawg gymnastics meet. It was so much fun and Cheyenne loved it. I want to go again for sure. Oh and I had also curled Cheyenne's hair for the first time ever that day and it was so cute! I am loving having a daughter with long hair, she is like my little dolly. I hope she will let me dress her and do her hair for a long time to come!

I did Cheyenne's hair curly for the first time... it was hard as she doesn't hold her head still very well.

Cheyenne LOVED the gymnastics meet. She was dancing around and made friends with some 12 ish year old girls sitting behind us.

Jeff's family in Washington

We got to see Jeff's family while we were in Washington too, which was so much fun. There just wasn't enough time!
Haley buckling Cheyenne into the carseat... I think Cheyenne fell asleep in that car seat about 30 seconds later:)

This was so cute! I walked in to Grandma Connie and Grandpa Frank's bathroom and the girls were playing hair salon. These are Cheyenne's older cousins on Jeff's side: Tatym, Haley, Madesyn, and Hannah. It was seriously so adorable.

Random events on our trip to Washington

Here are some random picture from being with my family on our trip to Washington.
Dana was so nice to give mom and I a haircut on the last night of our trip.

Another sleepover... Cheyenne didn't do so well in these situations... I don't think she ever went to sleep either time.
Aubrielle, Laura, Sarah, Audrey, Nathaniel, Genevieve, Megan, Berkeley, Heidi and Cheyenne... only missing Austin who was on the couch and Ansley who was already in bed in the other room... Oh and Katie and Hannah, they must have been in bed too.

I found Cheyenne like this with Grandpa Steve, I thought it was so cute I had to take a picture. She was just looking through the papers next to him.

Oh and little Genevieve snuck in the bottom:)
I love this picture of my sister. She is so pretty don't you think?? Here she is with Laura and Ansley.

Genevieve with the two newest cousins, Nathaniel and Berkeley.

We all went swimming at the Arne Hannah Aquatic Center. It was really cold, the waterslide was closed and smelled really gross. Other than that it was fun for all the cousins to play in the pool together. I am wearing my maternity swimsuit which is why I could appear to be pregnant, but not so... also in all the indoor pictures my hair looks orange, I hate that!
Jared invited me to run 6 miles with him at 8:30 pace. What he didn't tell me was, that was his rest pace. He added 6 intervals of 7 minute pace! I turned around and only ran around 4 miles. It was a good workout though and pretty much the only workout I did the whole trip.

Cheyenne entertained herself at the airport by pushing Berkeley around in the stroller.

Heather, Mom and I up late making an ice cream cake for those with February Birthdays.

My Grandma, her boyfriend, Howard, and all of my grandma's grandchildren, except Scot who was in Thailand.

This picture is my entire family... my mom and dad are the two in the middle of the couch and they are both sitting next to their spouses. There are 14 grandchildren with 1 on the way (my sister-in-law Dana is due next fall). My mom was really excited about getting an updated picture.

This is my Grandma with all of her great-grandchildren. There are 21 and only 4 are boys!
This was all of my Grandma's descendants. She loved her party, it was a fun time. She is so full of life and energy... I hope I will be like that when I am her age!

We all went home to Washington the first week of February to celebrate my Grandmother's 90th birthday. I was really thankful Jeff was able to come with me and it was great to be able to spend the time with all of my family together. We hadn't all been together in one place since 10 years ago, my senior year of high school. It was so fun to see all of the cousins playing together. It went by very fast, but I am grateful for the memories made there.
