Baby Blessing

Jeff blessed Cheyenne on January 4, 2009. What a great way for Cheyenne to start the new year, with a Priesthood blessing from her dad!! I love the gospel so much and we are so blessed that we can all be sealed together for eternity, I can't imagine spending eternity without my family. The blessing was awesome and it was such a spiritual experience for our little family. The picture at the top is Grandma and Grandpa Bennum, Jeff and Cheyenne. The next picture is pretty much all the men in our ward, minus about 5 people. And the last picture is Jeff, Cheyenne and I with Coach Miller (the head football coach at Elberton, and the reason we came out to this little branch in this little town), his wife Linda and their adorable two-year old daughter Kylie. Another HUGE thank you to Jan and Dean Hurst (my mom's cousins) for the Adorable blessing dress:)

Our Testimony

Jeff and I are both members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and we wanted to share how grateful we are for that blessing. We believe the Book of Mormon and the Bible are the word of God and we learn so much as we read from them. We know that families can be together forever, even after death, if we choose to make that covenant with God in his holy temple. We believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and was led by God to restore the truth on the earth. He went through so much persecution and dedicated his life so that we could have the Gospel of Christ today. We also believe President Monson to be our prophet today, we believe he communicates with God and leads us to live good lives so we can return to live with our father in heaven once again. The more we pray, read the scriptures, and learn about the gospel, the more we feel the holy spirit in our lives. As we do these things we can see our lives and our marriage being blessed and our happiness increased. We know we have made so many mistakes in each of our lives respectively and we are so amazed that our savior Jesus Christ can help us to be forgiven for those things. We love the joy and happiness that the gospel of christ brings us everyday. Jeff even dedicated two years of his life to sharing that truth because he believes in it so much and wanted to bring other people that happiness. I am so thankful that he made that sacrifice because I can see the blessings that came from it. We are not posting this to try to force our views on anyone, we just wanted to let everyone know how thankful we are for the Lord's blessings and for his guidance in our lives. We have also been so blessed with amazing family and friends to give us support and love along our way. Thank you being there for us and thank you for letting us share our love of Christ and our testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
